Virginia Bulacio

was born in the Northern Argentina and moved to Southern California to pursue her journalism career. She’s covered a range of issues: immigration, domestic violence and the economy. She’s currently the audio editor of El Nuevo Sol, Cal State University Northridge’s Spanish online publication.

Her interest is Spanish-language media.  Her strengths are backpack journalism and photography.  Virginia has won prestigious scholarships and awards for her work, including recognition from the Los Angeles Press Club and the Fred Allen Memorial Scholarship in 2008.

Virginia is truly a multimedia journalist: from print and radio stories to slideshows and podcasts.  She’s produced them all.  Virginia is interested in documenting the immigrant and social evolution side of the food truck phenomenon.  She brings her strong language skills, sharp eye and cultural sensitivity to the Masa Revoltuion team.
