Bill Esparza in T.J. during production trip to Ensenada in Summer 2012.

Bill Esparza is the Street-Food Expert for Masa Revolution. Thanks to Baja California’s Secretary of Tourism Juan Tintos Funcke, Bill lead a production trip to Ensenada where we experienced spicy mango salsa and fish tostadas at La Guerrerense for ourselves, and interviewed Sabina Banderas for the history section of the film.

A professional saxophonist, writer and blogger, Bill started his blog, Street Gourmet LA in fall of 2007. Maintaining the website has given Bill all sorts of clout, including regular appearances on The Travel Channel, tasting trips with some of Mexico’s most famous chefs, plenty of free meals!  LA Weekly even selected Bill to host its first street-food festival, Tacolandia, this summer!

When not leading photographers around L.A. for Masa Revolution, Bill enjoys fine Tequila, discovering hidden street-food gems, and leading street-food tours to Tijuana with Club Tengo Hambre.

The production team is working with sponsors on another trip to Mexico with Bill this summer.
